I'm gonna find a way to sneak a Cookie

I have to admit that I am absolutely addicted to that new MTV show called "I used to be fat". It's about a bunch of different kids who want to drop their weight and get healthy before they start college. They are each given a personal trainer who totally kicks their butts and they must adhere to a strict diet under their supervision. I know getting yelled at and bossed around by some perfectly fit ex-marine cannot be fun. But I honestly think that having a person to constantly push you to your limits gives you a huge advantage over trying to do it by yourself. The only people I have rooting for me is my sister Christie who is also trying to get healthy, my hubby and my friend Tanya. Not that their not wonderful but their not with me every minute of every day. And let me tell you, I'm like a 2 year old that needs constant supervision. Because if I want to sneak a cookie, I'm going to find a way to do it without anyone noticing me. So there are alot of obstacles in my path each and everyday. But I am gonna keep on trying and never give up. :)

  1. I am definitely rooting for you! So much so that later today when I have my diet book with me I'll send you the recipe for his "power cookie" so you don't have to sneak one and can eat it proudly. ha. I haven't tried them yet, but hopefully they're good.. Even if the ingredients were ridiculously hard to find in my grocery store.

I absolutely LOVE that show, too. Excited to watch yesterday's episode today.. I DVR'd it so I could skip the commercials. ha.

Good luck the rest of the week!

  2. Lot of weird ingredients, but here it goes...

    1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
    2 tablespoons almond paste
    1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
    10 packets of Truvia
    1/4 cup agave nectar
    1 large egg
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 cup vanilla whey powder
    2 cups oats
    1 cup dried cherries
    1/2 cup sliced almonds

Heat over to 350 degrees. Beat together applesauce, almond paste, flaxseed oil, Truvia, and agave nectar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, baking soda, salt, pepper and whey powder. Beat thoroughly. Stir in oats, cherries and almonds. Mix well. Drop the batter by large tablespoons onto a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with vegetable cooking spray. Divide dough so that you have 18 cookies. Flatten each cookie with the back of the spoon. Bake 16-18 minutes or until brown. Remove from oven. Cool and store in a plastic container. Each cookie supplies 128 calories and can be enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack (1 cookie = 1 serving).

Again, I haven't tried them yet so you'll have to let me know if you do and if they're any good. I'll be making them in the next couple days so I'll let you know how they are if I get to it before you do.

  3. Thanks for the recipe girl! I do love a good cookie.... :P

  4. I can only say this to you, my love, if you want a cookie then eat a cookie! BUT please don't sneak it because if you do then you will sneak 2 or 3 or 4. I want you to promise me you wont sneak it and when you eat it you do so in front of someone. PLEASE?

  5. I loooooove my Juju beans, big or small!!!

  6. I LOVE A GOOD COOKIE TOO! I am totally addicted to that show as well. Watching the results is amazing! If I could lose 50-90 pounds in 3-4mnths I would TOTALLY do it!!!!!

When life gets busy like it has's so hard to keep up with excercising and stayin away from those snacky snacks! Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get there.......
